Employee Spotlight: Dan Nelson, IT Director | Adams Magnetic

Behind every quote, order, and shipment at Adams Magnetic Products is a set of systems that has to work. Dan Nelson, our IT Director, is responsible for keeping them running and moving them forward.

Dan brings more than 30 years of experience in information technology. His background covers infrastructure, the software development lifecycle, IT service management, IT compliance, and the work of building and leading IT teams. That range matters in a manufacturing environment, where the systems tracking inventory, orders, and production schedules have to stay connected and stay available.

His current focus is our ERP system. Dan is leading an upgrade that will move the company to the next level in ERP capability and day-to-day operations. For customers, that work tends to show up in practical ways: more accurate inventory visibility, faster quote turnaround, and clearer answers on order status.

Away from work, Dan and his wife have been married for 29 years and have four adult children. The two of them enjoy traveling together. He is also an avid Chicago sports fan, following the Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks, and he spends his free time hiking and golfing.
