Adams Magnetic Products, LLC. announces the opening of a New York sales office and the addition of two, new, sales representatives. Located at Metro Office Centre in Rochester, N.Y., Jim Miller and Patrick Hanna will serve customers’ magnetic products needs in the Northeast and beyond.

Reporting to Adams’ General Manager Kerry Buntrock, Jim and Patrick collaborate with the company’s inside sales and engineering teams to quickly respond to customers’ in need of flexible magnets, magnet assemblies and devices, and other magnetic materials. Each sales representative draws from more than a decade of experience — much of it as coworkers — providing magnetic products to the Northeastern region.

“Magnets are key elements found in all kinds of products – from medical equipment and personal computers, to appliances and industrial equipment, to cabinets and windows, to sign holders and store displays,” notes Jim. “Adams has the expertise to help out at any stage of a product’s development from concept through production. The company offers an extensive inventory, great lead times and attention to detail. It is considered an industry leader and its leadership presents an extremely professional attitude. I am enthusiastic and happy to be a part of this team.”

Patrick agrees and adds, “In my 10 years in the magnet industry, I have met and become friends with many fascinating people. Adams’ president, Scott Lewis, and general manager, Kerry Buntrock, are two of the people I have come to know and respect. Under their direction, the company has earned a great reputation for its quality products and good people. I’m flattered and inspired by the opportunity to work with them and contribute to the company’s growth.”

For their previous employer, Jim served as vice president of sales and Patrick as vice president of manufacturing. Together, they were charged with direct supervision for new business development, production, training, scheduling, purchasing, safety, regulatory compliance, quality control and day-to-day operations.

Before entering the magnet industry, Jim earned a B.S. in hotel and restaurant management from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. He worked in hotels and food service and went on to own and operate restaurants and related ventures. He changed careers in the 1990s so he could be more involved with his three sons. A life-long resident of Rochester, N.Y., Jim now enjoys having time to hear about his sons’ studies and watch their baseball games.

Like Jim, Patrick’s first priority is his family and friends. Much of his time is dedicated to raising his seven-year-old son with whom he looks forward to sharing his passion for golf. Patrick graduated with a B.A. from New York’s St. Bonaventure University, which finished the 2007 fall season with four golf tournament titles in six events.
