Elmhurst, IL and Carlsbad, CA (May 2018) — Adams Magnetic Products, LLC. has expanded its flexible magnet fabrication service capabilities by investing in equipment for two additional production lines.
Full production lines were added both in Elmhurst, IL and Carlsbad, CA that can run flexible magnet strip material at more than 300 feet per minute, applying laminate and slitting to the desired width. The new custom built machines give Adams improved cut quality and tighter tolerances for slitting of material up to 0.187” thick. They also provide precision edge guiding for all types of laminates including label stock, which can now be run edge to edge with perfect tension control on both magnet and laminate. Additionally, production time is shorter with quick change blade sets and larger capacity unwind (full pallets from truck to machine) providing much longer run times before changeover.
“Flexible magnet strip is most commonly sold to printers or display manufacturers for sign, display or point-of-purchase promotions,” explains Craig Myers, Adams’ western regional sales manager. “Also, our customers increasingly use flexible magnetic products such as labels in warehouses and distribution centers, as large graphic panels for presentations and exhibits, and as closures on retail fixtures and specialty packages.”
