Temperature EffectsNeed to confirm performance at temperature extremes?

This whitepaper is intended for manufacturers that use permanent magnets and have a need to design, fabricate and assemble magnetic systems that can perform at temperature extremes.

All magnetic materials experience changes to magnetic properties with change in temperature. Magnetic changes can be reversible, meaning that the material recovers to the initial condition when temperature returns to normal. Or the changes can be partly or totally irreversible when the magnet experiences structural damage or experiences a temperature extreme allowing magnetic domains to re-orient randomly. Understanding and accounting for these changes are necessary to achieve robust designs.
