Adams is your one-stop source for ferrite gapping or machining. Search our inventory for factory gapped cores or any core that you'd like us to modify for you. We keep inventory of popular factory gapped cores whenever possible. We can gap and machine custom cores as described in more detail below.
Core Gapping & Precision Machining
Adams provides ferrite gapping services for a wide range of geometries and materials typical to the magnetics industry. We also provide precision machining of custom products. Our capabilities include the extraordinary skill of precision machining exotic materials such magnets and soft ferrite cores.
Core Gapping Services
Adams offers gapped cores as specified by the suppliers whose products we distribute: Ferroxcube, EPCOS, MMG.
We also provide custom gapped cores per customer design, to either a physical dimension or a required AL value. Typically cores are issued for gapping from our extensive inventory. We also accept cores provided by our customers for ferrite gapping to their unique requirements.
Precision Machining
Machining includes cutting, grinding and polishing to precise measurements with close tolerances and with great
caution due to the fragile nature of the materials. Our equipment is state-of-the-art, and our technical skills
cover the entire range of standard core geometries and unique fabrication of complex designs. We work closely with
design engineers to fabricate single models for prototypes and we offer the fabrication of precision-made products
in production volumes.
Our precision machined products are used in the entire range of
high-reliability requirements including medical devices,
aerospace, communications, automotive and more. We also offer fabricated products for novelty magnetics and other commercial
applications.
