SUPER-MSS® utilizes an iron-silicon-aluminum alloy powder which has high resistivity and low magnetostriction. A 10,000 Gauss saturation level provides high energy storage at a lower total loss compared with iron powder or gapped ferrites, and at lower cost than MPP.

MPP, molypermalloy powder, cores are 81% nickel, 2% molybdenum, 17% iron. They exhibit the lowest core losses of all commonly available powder toroids. Available in permeabilities from 14 to 350 and in sizes from 0.14" to 5.2" OD (3.56 to 132 mm), MPP cores are ideal for suppressing EMI/RFI in switch mode power supplies and in telecommunication applications.

HI-FLUX® cores are a variant of MPP and contain a 50% nickel - 50% iron. HI-FLUX cores have the highest magnetic saturation enabling operation at higher flux density and DC bias than all other commonly available core materials.

Area of Specialization:
Arnold Soft Magnetic Powder Cores are used extensively for inductors in a wide variety of electronic systems, including computer and telecommunications equipment power supplies.

Company Background:
Arnold Magnetic Technologies Corporation traces its roots to the Arnold Engineering Company, founded in 1905 in Marengo, Illinois. Arnold was the first US company to make Alnico magnets (1939) and has focused on manufacturing magnetic products ever since. Arnold’s soft magnetic product line includes MPP, Hi-FLUX and Super-MSS (Sendust) Powder Cores. These are manufactured in large quantities with competitive pricing and outstanding quality in Arnold’s Shenzhen, China factory.
