Products include:
MPP
Molybdenum Permalloy Powder (MPP) cores provide the maximum Q and lowest
core losses of all commonly available powder toroids. MPP is the most
stable core with respect to temperature and AC Flux. It has the widest
range of permeabilities and is considered the premium material for direct
current output inductors of Switched Mode Power Supplies.
HI-FLUX™
HI-FLUX™ (HF) cores are a 50% Nickel - 50% Iron distributed gapped
powder core. HF has up to 15,000 Gauss saturation flux density and core
losses significantly lower than iron powder cores. When used in applications
with high DC current, HF cores can provide a reduction in inductor size
as well as total cost.
SUPER-MSS™
SUPER-MSS™ utilizes an iron-silicon-aluminum alloy powder which
has high resistivity and low magnetostriction. A 10,000 Gauss saturation
level provides high energy storage at a lower total loss compared with
iron powder or gapped ferrites, and at lower cost than MPP.
Iron/Silicon
The 6.5 wt% Iron-Silicon material offers significant advantages, displaying
excellent soft magnetic properties such as high saturation magnetization,
near zero magnetostriction and higher resistivity.
Iron/Silicon powder cores have a typical 15,000 Gauss saturation flux
density and core losses significantly lower than iron powder cores at
high frequencies.
