| History of Adams Magnetic
Products
A leader in magnetic components
For more than 50 years, Adams Magnetic Products Co. has built a solid
reputation by providing manufacturers with a range of quality magnetic
products. Our products include:
Founded with innovation and dedication
In 1950, Leo Weinstein founded Adams Magnetics in Chicago. A pioneer in
permanent magnet fabrication, Weinstein created many innovative magnetic
assemblies. He grew the business by listening to his customers' requests.
Some of Weinstein's assemblies still make up the core of our product
line. And his dedication to customer needs continues to drive our philosophy
today.
Expansion into more complex magnetics
In the 1980's, Adams began a period of growth under the leadership of
W.F. Lewis and Richard M. Knowles. The product line expanded to include
the fabrication of alnico and rare earth magnets as well as complex custom
assemblies.
Soft ferrites and new distribution
Adams jumped into the soft ferrite market in the early 1990's. Adams facilities
were now located throughout the United States, including Florida, New
Jersey, and California. Distribution contracts developed with Philips
(now Ferroxcube), Siemens (now Epcos), and Steward.
In the late 1990's, Adams Engineered Products division opened in Kentucky.
We fabricate a full range of magnetic materials in this state-of-the-art
facility.
MPP Cores and additional distribution
At the request of our customers, Adams is expanding its soft ferrite product
offering in 2003 to include Arnold MPP cores.
Today: sustained innovation and dedication
Today, as we grow to meet the needs of a changing market, our national
sales fleet is focusing its efforts on specialized, high-tech products.
Upgraded phone and computer systems will allow us to continue to listen
to our customers' requests and meet their needs with innovation and first
rate service. |
